I am the Catholic half of an interfaith marriage. When I'm not a being a house-husband or a dutiful public servant, I am often found mulling over deep issues of faith, politics, justice and community. I grew up in rural Michigan, arguably an easier place to commune with God and the Universe than the big city. However, it gives me hope to know that God and caring human communities can still be found amid the hustle and bustle, the posturing, posing, and back-stabbing that define life for so many people here in Washington.
