I am a freelance writer. I have various interests and hobbies. I write poetry, short stories, articles, research items, Children's stories and am currently working on a series of Children's books. I also, am looking for a publisher for a Native American chapbook of poetry that I have written in regards to my Cherokee heritage. My Great-Grandmother walked the "Trail of Tears" ending up in Oklahoma and marrying a Caucasian man, but the tales were still told to me, thus the book's roots. Also, I am finishing my first movie script too at this time. I have my own writing group on the internet also. I am an activist for: Domestic Violence, Rape, the Disabled, Children's Welfare (includes abandonment and all abuses), Animal Cruelty, Our Troops and Veterans. My hobbies include: knitting, bargain-shopping, playing with our dogs, listening to music, watching movies/dvds, eating out at restaurants, surfing the internet, gardening, dancing, making body oils/bath salts/soaps/perfumes (using essential oils), traveling, dieting, having tea/coffee with friends, checking nutrition/carbohydrates info on package labels, making homemade facial/hair/skin remedies, making candles, making herbal vinegars, making potpourri, and embroidery. I worked off and on for nearly twenty-five years in the health care industry.
