I am a Partner of a Pilot, with 3 children. Although I have many friends-only a very few of them can relate to my lifestyle or the issues that I face. I have discovered that there are many other women in my situation who are looking for support networks to help them cope with the life of a pilot’s wife or girlfriend.

I decided to write a blog to help keep me sane, help others appreciate that they are sane, and just to get a load off my chest and vent about the airline industry and the less desireable side-effects it leaves you with as the one at home leading a pilot’s ‘wifestyle’! Obviously it has it’s perks too, and those are also all here in my blog. I have always kept a diary, and find the experience of writing it cathartic, but I have never liked leaving diaries lying around the house. This seemed like the perfect alternative.

In my own life, I work from home, which is great as it eliminates the need for expensive child care that would otherwise prohibit me from earning my own living; something that makes me feel independant, and gives me my own identity outside of being just someone elses partner or Mummy.
