My name is Aji Santiago, a Filipino entrepreneur in my early twenties. A year after spending a very short time in the corporate world, and several months of being self-employed, I have recently decided to test my wings, finally jump on the water and follow the path that I always wanted to tread on; I always believed that to become an entrepreneur was my Personal Legend. Armed with the knowledge that I learned from the business school, as well as some real-life entrepreneurial experiences and learnings I had in the past, I hope to share some insights regarding business, personal finance and entrepreneurship through this site.

You may be thinking, if this site is about entrepreneurship, then why do i call myself an inside investor? Robert Kiyosaki once defined an inside investor as "someone who is on the inside of the investment and has some degree of management control (Rich Dad's Guide to Investing 2000, 219)." To not confuse it with illegal insider trading, inside investors are defined as investors who "are building assets [or businesses] that they can run, sell, or take public (Kiyosaki 2000, 219)." So all of us, entrepreneurs who build assets, who have the financial education but who might not yet have the financial resources of an accredited investor, are called inside investors. By being inside investors, we control and manage the money that we (and our other investors) invest in our own businesses.

I started this site also with the aim of connecting to my fellow Pinoy entrepreneurs, especially those who, like me are starting, as well as those who have made it to the top. I wanted this site to grow into a community of like-minded Pinoy entrepreneurs, both here in the country and those in different parts of the world, who would interact and learn from each other as we share our entrepreneurial experiences in the process. After all, we entrepreneurs are the foundation of our country's economy and private sector; we must learn and strengthen each other.

So, whether you're starting or you've made it to the top, join our discussion here in The Pinoy Inside Investor and you may learn something new; much better if we can learn something from you. :)
