I grew up in Monterey, CA, 100 miles south of San Francisco; so every trip to "The City" was a treat. Women wore hats and gloves. Men wore suits and hats. It was a classy time back then. After Levi's were invented here, things got more casual. Now, you can wear anything you want, and in some events, people even go naked (usually *not* the ones you want to see though).
I dreamed of living here and now I do ... right downtown where all the fun stuff is. Use my blog and you'll find plenty of fun things to do in San Francisco that are non-touristy, and without a car.
