She loves "Dark Shadows"! And Bernard Cornwell's "Sharpe" novels! Even if Kristin Battestella's reviews weren't incisive and entertaining, even if her archives weren't packed with her views on an eclectic mix of recent releases, movies you'd long forgotten about, books and TV shows -- along with a panoply of pointless-fun quizzes -- I'd still recommend her highly. 'Cause, "Dark Shadows"! "Sharpe!" Oh, and Sean Bean! In the spirit of full discolosure, however, I'd also like to mention a certain proclivity for the Bee Gees. But, hey. No one's perfect.

Enjoyable romp through dating life: frank, confessional and amusing. And rather like Carrie's column in "Sex and the City", I wonder: do the people mentioned actually read it? And what is their reaction? Certainly, honesty is the best policy, but if I were Friend Zone, Nice Guy or best-friend Reality Check (love the aliases, by the way), I might have found myself a little peeved at times. And if I were Date Girl, I don't know I'd want them to know my inner-most thoughts. But that's just me. A+ for the straight-talking!

Candid, snarky and enormously entertaining, Greg's Blog (aptly named!) is a lot of fun to read. From politics to education to the economy, Greg is ever amusing in his wry, pithy, take-no-prisoners way. I may not always agree with him, but anyone who quotes Mr. Krabs is okay by me.

If I'd known about this site, I'd never have missed out on the hidden scene at the end of "Iron Man" at the cinema! This is a movie site with it's priorities straight (along with an excellent spoiler policy, which I really appreciate). A must-see destination for all the really important movie and TV news... love it!

Love it! I can't claim the same degree of geekdom as the blog's venerable creator (and I rarely concede such a thing), but I AM geek enough to get it... the action figures! The comic books! The cartoons! Will be visiting often and often...

Great site, really well executed and very professional-looking. Interesting and well -presented content, also. A quick tip from a fellow newbie blogger (and one obviously much less able in the site design department): your site links seem a little odd, with your giving the full web address. Why not use the function to name the tags instead? Will add you as a favourite, to stay up to date on all the Enquiring Daily Tribune-ness. Good luck with it! Rachel.

Just wanted to say I really enjoyed your post, "Clean Machine"... but I also found it kind of hard to read. Maybe it's 'cause I'm a stickler for this kind of thing -- and you're the much cooler, anarchic-type -- but may I suggest paragraph breaks? Love the stream-of-conscious thing, but I keep getting lost in the morass of your sentences. I wanted to go ahead the read the rest of your posts, but just couldn't do it. Too many words, not enough spaces. Forgive the presumption... it's just that, if it were me, I'd want to know. Best! Rachel
