Hi, I’m Robert Williams a 2-time All-American and former Pittsburgh Steelers. I suffered from depression undiagnosed for over twenty years. I write “A Way Out” to help African Americans who suffer or have love ones with Depression.
My first blog, The Invisible Dragon started in March 2007. It was my personal journey out of depression.
My recovery began with education of the illness and subsequently treatment. The cultural stigma of mental illness keep African Americans behind in getting treatment for this curable illness. I recovered with therapy and medication.
A Way Out is a mental health ministry based in education, facts and empowerment. Its a complete informational blog with online resources, books, real life stories and much more. You too can come out of the darkness.
