I’m Just a simple man tryin’ to serve the Lord, that’s the main thing you need to know. Jesus is my King, and making an impact on people’s lives for His sake is my passion; all the rest are afterthoughts.
Speaking about afterthoughts, I love a good grappling match, whether mentally or physically. On the mental side, I’m getting a Master’s degree in philosophy.
On the physical side, I wrestled competitively for 15 years, and now I coach it and compete in Jiu-jitsu on the side.
I used to compete in jump rope before I took up Jiu-jitsu (yes, jump rope is a sport).
Books are a must, as are good friends.
I bleed Scarlet and Grey.
In my spare time, I herd cats at a Southern California high school…)
You might be asking, “why the ‘Pugnacious Irishman’ name? It’s a name my roommate gave me when I first moved to California in 2003. I forget exactly how it came about, but it stuck.
