if who I am reads like a resume, I suppose I am a writer, artist, web developer, wife and mother of five ...artistic techy finicky and wonderful children, and that includes twin 15 year old daughters who probably don't consider themselves children anymore, lol, but maybe...
My 15 yr old daughter "zanna" will launch her new website SkullzandRozePetalz.com August 1st along with her own YouTube channel and iTunes podcast of flash animated cartoons. The site opens with 'auditions' for cartoon characters to be featured in coming webisodes and well.. you've never seen anything like it. Skullie and Ellie are the prime characters along with Ninja Pig, Jail Pig and well... ReaperDude! He winds up being one of the more likely and often misunderstood characters really so its not dark but there are some quirky behaviors.

As for me, well... I haven't been myself for the past couple of years so I prefer to focus on what's going on around me instead. I have some deep seeded hopes for a turnaround in the U.S., world and here in Memphis, but for now I feel rather complacent. And what I hoped would be an improved social interface on the web (blogging, facebook, youtube, etc.) instead continues to another way to exploit children, sex or turn a profit by pretending to be interested in someone's blog and/or ideas and life, but really just want to gain numbers that raise your money/seo values. So I guess my seeds of idealistic hope haven't died completely but they are not enough to go out and change things anymore as actively as I once did. I have grow tired, weary, and lost my compass I think. What's right, real, and worth dying for these days has become vague and obscure and distant to me now. But I do believe in God and I know He believes in me. How I can best live out this truth with real integrity and unwaivering passion I am still trying to find, underneath all the mud that's been slung my way. Not bitter, just dazed and confused. I don't know where I lost my passion for truth, justice and the American dream, but I imagine it was here in the political rubble of Memphis, TN and the churches who've stood by counting their money while the needy fell deeper into ruin and despair. Mother Theresa once said "the greatest poverty is loneliness" and believe that is the one thing no one can really fix for you. They can fill your belly and bring you clothes, even try to know you, but you have to be willing to let them in and its hard for the genuinely needy to trust you. well this seems more like an article or even a soapbox (dating myself with that reference) so maybe I'm not dead yet and once I get started I still have a lot to say. This may get moved to a post soon... but for now, its who I am.
