Born in San Francisco, lived five years in Brooklyn, returned to San Francisco then Berkeley and, after serving in the US Navy (1954-1958), attended college and university in San Francisco and Berkeley. Worked throughout California, and in Alaska and Texas as a hospital and medical organization executive, with side trips as a management consultant and teacher of management. Retired in 2002 and married my Swedish sweetheart of 5 years. Moved to Stockholm where I set up a consulting service and started the first English speaking Rotary Club here. I have retired again and am pursuing a writing career. I have 5 adult children in Alaska and California, and four grandchildren in California. My wife has four children in Sweden. My Myers-Briggs Type is INTJ.
