I have been making beaded jewellery for some years now. It all began in 2001 when I made the wedding jewellery for someone who worked at school. I consulted frequently with the bride to be and I came up with some designs for necklace and earrings for the bridesmaids as well as a tiara, earrings, necklace and bracelet for the bride. She was very pleased with everything.
I used silver embellished with garnets and sapphires for the bridal jewellery, but have not worked with such extravagent materials since. It was easy to use these materials within the school workshop environment; I now work more within my means on the dining room table at home!
I enjoy the freedom of using beads and putting together something indiviudal and unique. As well as making things I have created myself, I also make to order.
