A native West Virginian transplanted to New York City and loving it, I am a theologically educated, progressive, middle age, white guy married to a theologically educated, progressive, Jersey Girl mermaid of Italian descent. I earned a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. I am also a National Outdoor Leadership School Certified Outdoor Leader and a Leave No Trace Master Educator. I have served churches in North Carolina, West Virginia and now New York. I also served for six years on the staff of West Virginia Presbytery, including a short stint as its Stated Clerk. When not serving as the Designated Pastor of North Church Queens I prefer to be kayaking on Jamaica Bay or climbing in the Gunks. My dream job is to manage and provide spiritual direction at a retreat center with easy access to water for kayaking and rock for climbing. A small progressive worshipping community or church associated with the retreat center would be a plus.
