Chemistry degree; musical instrument (French horn) never really utilised; learnt Russian (in Russia) and never really used since I left. Now trying to learn Spanish - with more chance of being able to use it!
Straight, non-smoker (reformed, but not a health Nazi in that respect), occasional drinker - like an occasional table.
All kidding aside, I do like to read, mostly SciFi, crime fiction and Terry Pratchet-type books. Thought it might be nice to share my - usually positive - reactions to them after I've finished. Not the bestseller lists. Plus my other blog on subjects various and varied, including cooking (mostly bread) and moans about my environment.
