I was born on a farm in MI and lived the first 9 yrs of my life there. My family then moved to a suburb outside Chicago and I now happily live in Chicago with my fiancé, Annie Colbert, and our 2 cats Oscar and Layla Beans.

I consider myself a life long explorer and live to create. I started my first company as a college junior at the age of 20. I grew that company, an online retail store, to $1.5 million dollars in annual sales. I used most the money to pay for all my college debt and living expenses for my first 2 years out of college. I also traveled for 8 months with Annie around Europe and Asia.

I was the first person from my university ever named to the prestigious ALL USA Academic First Team. This award is given to only 20 students each year. I graduated from College of Dupage and Aurora University as a two time Valedictorian. My profile was featured in a full page spread in the USA Today paper distributed internationally.

Since graduating, I worked for 3 yrs as a professional facilitator for Quantum Learning Network, which is considered the primer company for accelerated learning techniques. Through this company I spoke to thousands of students around the US and the world including South Korea, Indonesia and Bermuda.

In 2004 I co-founded my second business, Swift Kick, with the goal of increasing student's engagement in education. We use both training and technology to accomplish our mission and are building an educational model suited for the future.

Twitter Our softball playoffs start in 2 hours - I have a feeling this might just be the season for us to win it all!
