Elicia Arwen is an eclectic psychotherapist in Boulder, CO. Her undergraduate studies at the Naropa Institute focused on Jungian Psychology and in 1999 she received a BA in Contemplative Psychology. She completed her Masters in Transpersonal Psychology in 2002 at the Institute for Transpersonal Psychology. Elicia has been involved in the field since 1993 when she began her undergraduate at The University of Houston and simultaneously discovered the works of C.G. Jung. She has been actively engaged in dream work, her own and acting as a consultant to others, since 1996. In her private practice, Elicia uses multiple models and disciplines and seeks to individualize treatment to best suit her clients. She specializes in working with people undergoing both major and minor transitions in their lives; i.e. career changes, divorce, death of a loved one, birth, and marriage. Some of the issues she helps people learn to cope with and master are anxiety, negative self-perception, depression, fear of change, stress, grief, trauma and abuse. Elicia also does dream work with clients on an ongoing and per dream basis. In 2007 she attended a conference for the International Association for the Study of Dreams and presented research on how dreams can help female incest survivors develop healthy self-perception.
