There is little that can be stated about me that would be proper to put in print. No, seriously, I am a decent kinda gal on most days ending in “y.”
I grew up dirt poor in WV, know all the hillbilly jokes you can throw at me, served some time (in the Military, people), and spent 16 years as an EMT. I moved to DC in 1993.This is where I left my “love ‘em and leave ‘em a note” mentality behind (10 years later) and married the same good ol’ Texas gal, not once but twice.
Since the birth of our darling daughter, I have opted to be a stay at home comedian. My antics include “elastic face Momma,” “stinky toes,” “you gotta go pee on the potty,” and the never ending, “Attt, att, that it is Momma's computer, not Abbie's.”
When I am not chasing after our soon to be two year old daughter, I can be found on the computer updating my blogs or chasing a submission request. My latest essay, Trouble with Pink, may be found in the latest book by Harlyn Aizley, Confessions of the Other Mother. I can also be found on the L Word Fanisode site willingly submitting scenes and occasionally precipitating trouble.
I am currently preparing to return to college to finish my BA in English and Early Childhood Education. As, I truly feel I skipped a few key developmental stages and I need a firmer grasp of the English language.
