Do you believe that you are living well and doing well? Most people feel like they’re working towards this goal but they haven’t reached it quite yet. They feel that they need to work a little harder to get to this point in their lives. And then, they’ll be able to relax.

But how long are you going to keep working towards the goal of living well? Isn’t it possible to have it right away? Don’t you feel that making a few strategic changes to your life will help you to live well? Here are a few ideas:

1. Bundling Things Together

Sometimes, it’s hard to do several different things because you have to take time out for each and every one of them. It’s easier when the things you need to do can be bundled together.

For example, you could listen to an audiobook while you go running. Or you can live in an apartment building with a gym so that you don’t have to leave home in order to go work out. You could also try fitting in lunch with a friend in the middle of your work day or listening to the news while you cook.

Just remember to pay attention to how you’re feeling because you shouldn’t end up feeling frazzled while you multitask.

2. Creating Work Stations

Nowadays, everyone doesn’t work at a 9-5 job. Our job timings might be flexible. Or we might end up bringing work home. Or we might even work from home. So it’s important to have at least one good work station at home.

In terms of furniture, all you need is a small desk which is big enough for the papers or documents you need and a comfortable chair. You might want to place your desk and chair in a place where you’ll get some natural light.

And feel free to give your creativity free rein while decorating this section. Add some plants, flowers, photographs, art prints etc.—anything that will make you feel more active and cheerful while you work.

3. Organizing Your Phone

How many times have you scrambled through your contacts list without finding the person you were looking for? And have you found a number of other names of people whom you’ve already forgotten? Isn’t it time to sit down and organize your contacts?

Shouldn’t you delete apps that you’re not using on your phone? Aren’t all those videos your friends sent you just taking up space? And do you really need so many photos?

Our phones are our lifelines, so they need to be taken care of properly. Make sure you also get a protective film or shatter-proof glass if you’re the kind of person who tends to drop things often.

4. Throwing Out Things You Don’t Use

Once you’ve cleared your phone, why not sit down and do the same with your computer? If you have a number of documents, photos or videos that are taking up space, delete them. And make sure you back up everything on the cloud service of your choice.

You can also clean out your desk, your closet, your bookshelf etc. If you feel like a certain thing just doesn’t have a good energy for you anymore, then why hold on to it? Many creativity gurus will tell you that throwing out old things makes space for new things in your life.

5. Make a List of What You Can Do

When you’re blocked, make a list of what you can do. You’ll find that you don’t need to be blocked after all because there are so many things that need to be done, from getting the toilet fixed to reading that new bestseller by your favorite author.

There’s never any need for you to feel lackadaisical or lethargic because there’s always going to be at least one action that will give you pleasure or satisfaction. Just remember that making the list is just the beginning; you also have to put it into action.

If you follow these steps and really stick to your plan, then you'll end up having a healthy and happy lifestyle.
