I've always loved the French bead and wire flowers technique. This method involves stringing a lot of seed beads on wire and then bending them at strategic spots to create petals and leaves. It is different from Victorian bead and wire style. The latter has the beaded wires running straight across the frames.
Lauren Harpster of Lauren's Creations has a tutorial which shows a variation of the Victorian method. She says it is the Venetian method which developed around the same time as the Victorian one. I love how she draws the shapes first on paper to get different leaves.
Use them for beaded floral arrangements, hair jewelry, bouquets. Perhaps even statement necklaces?
