According to WHO (World Health Organization), mental health is “A state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community”.

Sadly anyone can get it, no matter how old you are or whether you’re male or female, rich or poor, mental health has no discrimination as it comes from all kinds of walk of life. In the UK alone it’s said, that over a quarter of a million people are being treated at psychiatric hospitals and more than 4000 people are committing suicide.

In the USA approximately 57.7 million people suffer from a mental disorder and half of those are more than likely suffering from more than one mental disorder at the same time. Today mental disorders are the leading cause of disability between the ages of

15 – 44.

Most common are:
Anxiety, Panic disorder, Phobias, (OCD) Obsessive-compulsive disorder, PSTD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), Mood disorders, Major depression, Bipolar disorder, Dysthymia, SAD (Seasonal affective disorder), and Schizophrenia disorders.
