Yes! Yes! Yes!
We had our first REALLY BIG snowfall of the season over the weekend and I was fortunate enough to have been scheduled off at work, so I got to spend TWO days romping and frolicking in it.
I had heard on Thursday of last week that we would be getting some snow over the weekend, but I had no idea it would be THAT MUCH SNOW.
Here, take a look. This is what I woke up to on Saturday morning when I looked out my windows...
I totally freaked out by jumping up and down, clapping my hands, and screaming like a 6-year old, "YAAAAAAAAAAAAY....IT'S SNOWING...IT'S SNOWING!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I immediately jumped in the shower, got dressed, then put on my warm down coat, and then RAN outside to enjoy it. I texted both my brother and closest friend in Florida to let them know that it was SNOWING. I even sent them pictures.
What I loved about this snowfall in particular was that the snowflakes were HUGE. It was also very blustery, so the snow blew directly into my face; attaching itself into my eyebrows, eyelashes, and beard. By the time I got to Trader Joe's, I looked like something from March of the Penguins in Antarctica.
I took this photo with my cell phone...
The whole time I walked to Trader Joe's, I kept smiling and singing, "Let it snow...let it snow...let it snow..."
Later that morning after putting my groceries away, I went back outside and walked around the city and took pictures. I'm surprised my camera didn't get destroyed by the heavy, wet snow because at one point I looked down at my Canon hanging around my neck and saw it covered in WHITE.
Anyway. Here are some photographs of my first day in the snow...
